Checking for understanding- you must work independently on this project, as I want to be sure everyone is capable of doing the following before we move on.
Open in Photoshop your photograph that you did on the element of LINE from last week. Resize to 4" x 6" with 300 resolution. Change the brightness and contrast to where it looks good. Save as lastname.firstname.line Save as a jpeg Do not discard the original photograph! I will be walking around and checking your progress. Please have your photo open in Photoshop and image size showing when I come to see you. If you finish early, you may continue to work independently on the photography career research project. The following presentation has some universally accepted rules of composition to make your photograph more dynamic. This is just a sampling of the many rules that are out there, but a good starting point.
Write a creative short story in your notebook about the photograph above. The story should be at least two paragraphs long, and include who, what, where, and when. Look at clues within the photograph regarding who the girl may be, why the photographer took this picture, and where she was when the photograph was taken.
Your assignment today is to create two powerpoint slides on a photography career, as indicated by your computer number on the attached sheet. You will use the format as was done in the attached Powerpoint sample- just pull it off this website and use it for your own purposes. When you are done with your slides, you are to email it to me at [email protected] and we will do a presentation on the various photography careers, with you presenting your specific slide.
