*** The studio photographs you took in class are in the 4.9 studio lighting please edit folder****
You will work in a team of three (one photographer, one assistant, and one model, then rotate) to create psychological self portraits of each team member. I want you to use this opportunity to show other people more about you and how you identify yourself- as a skateboarder, as an avid reader, in traditional costume, etc. This portrait will include using props, so bring them in! You will each be taking about a dozen shots each of the model in the studio and another dozen in natural light. Submit your top six photos- three of your model (NOT of you) using the studio lights and three of your model using natural light. You will also write a one to two paragraph statement explaining why you used specific props and what poses and lighting you used to create your artwork.
Graded based on:
10 points: time on task & craftsmanship (no smudges/ dust/ good brightness and contrast)
10 points: statement on your photographs
20 points: portrait research (as seen below)
60 points: photographs/ good variety, unique and creative, completely in focus, good representation of person, use of props (10 points a photo- make sure the eyes most importantly are tack sharp)

Find one portrait taken by each of the photographers listed below. Try to show us something unfamiliar in their work- dig around a little! What does the image tell us about the subject? In Microsoft word or powerpoint (whatever is easier for you), list the photographer, year, and what you feel the image tells us about the subject. Save file in the portrait masters shared folder.
