When you come back to class, upload your photos onto iPhoto and create an album called "09-08-2015 Shutter Speed". Go through and choose your best photo for each shutter speed and delete the other ones so that you only have one photo for 1/3, one for 1/10th, one for 1/30th, one for 1/60th, one for 1/250th, and one for 1/500th of a second. You will find the shutter speed if you press "information" in iPhoto- you'll see the technical description of the camera model, lens, shutter speed, f/stop etc on the top right hand side.
You will then create a unique padlet under your own padlet account that you will name Shutter Speed.
Under modifications on your padlet (the wagon wheel on the bottom right hand side),
Basic Information-
Title it "shutter speed"
and under description explain
1) how you changed the camera to shutter priority mode
2) how you changed the shutter speed from one to another
3) why you would want to use shutter priority mode over other options
Layout of the padlet as a grid
Address should be shutterspeed
Upload one individual photo for each speed from the shutter speed exercise and under title indicate what the ISO, shutter speed and aperture was for each shot- the elements that make up the exposure triangle (you will find under "information" in iPhoto). Under description, write what happened to the image and the background with each photo- how the shutter speed affected it. Be specific and use complete sentences.
After you are done with uploading your images from the project, include two other photos from the web= one for fast shutter speed and one for slow shutter speed= and indicate which is fast and which is slow shutter speed, what the technical settings were from the website (or from the notes in class if they don't indicate it on the website) and why you like it.
You will be adding your padlet address to the master list as indicated below for grading purposes. Title will be your first and last name, description will be "Shutter speed exercise."
