Complimentary and Analogous Photo Assignment
Here we are talking about color schemes now, and in this assignment, you will go out and create photos consisting of complementary colors and analogous colors.
Your goal is twofold:
to capture striking photos using opposite colors (complimentary) in your image (5 total) and
to capture striking photos using colors next to each other on the color wheel (analogous) in your image (5 total)
ASSIGNMENT:
I expect you to be thinking artistically and creatively about your photos. Do not simply take a picture of a red coke can lying on some green grass. Use all the lessons we've learned so far.
TURNING IN ASSIGNMENT:
You will submit a subfolder within the color combination shared folder with your lastname.firstname with FIVE JPEGS in the complimentary color shared folder as lastname.firstname.complimentary1, lastname.firstname.complimentary2 and FIVE jpegs in the analogous color scheme as lastname.firstname.analogous1 and so on. Try to get all totally different color combinations. Think about composition (rule of thirds, leading line, crop, pattern, abstract) to make a visually exciting photograph!

ASSIGNMENT:
- Go out and take artistic and creative pictures that are made up of complimentary colors (eight or more- you will be choosing your top five) and another set of photographs using analogous colors (eight or more- you will be choosing your top five).
- Like the photo examples, your photos should be almost completely made up of complimentary colors/ analogous colors.
- Once you bring your pictures in, color correct them and crop them to get the best composition. Cut out any excess background to make the subject bigger in the picture.
