Click here to see last year's work for the READ posters.
You will be working with a partner to create two posters (one each), one with studio lighting and one outdoors (it's okay if both are done in the studio). You will each be creating your own individual poster.
The specs are as follows:
Vertical format, 11" wide x 17" high with 300 resolution for printing purposes.
You must use Photoshop to change the background of the studio lighting poster.
All team members must participate in the creation of the posters, helping with props, and modeling.
MAKE SURE that any images used from the internet are LARGE resolution with no noticeable pixelation. Watch this video if you need directions on how to save a large file from Google Images. Make sure there are no copyright symbols on the image you are using.
Click here for the tutorial from January on how to create a layer mask if you need a refresher.
You may use dafont.com for fonts that fit your theme if the ones loaded on Photoshop doesn't have what you want. Be sure that you only download free fonts.
Graded based on:
Time on task and teamwork (4 points)- actively engaged, using class time wisely
Craftsmanship (4 points)- vertical, size and resolution correct, photograph tack sharp and in focus
Photograph (4 points)- The photo used for the poster showcased the book and concept
Design (4 points)- The photoshop work to create the poster was done creatively to emulate the idea
Save your work as lastname-firstname-read.jpg in the 05-01-15 READ folder in the common drive.
