Sophie Crawford, Class of 2017 In high school you run into many struggles and conflicts that may bring complications to achieving your goal. But no matter what you still get up and push through all the way to graduation. You sometimes have to sacrifice hanging out with friends or doing things you want to do in order to achieve academic success. With sacrifice comes achievement, they go hand in hand. In my photograph I represented academic achievement by crossing the finish line in a cap and gown because graduation is the ultimate achievement in high school. The lane behind him is the path he took to get to the finish line. If you’ve ever ran a race you would know that it takes a lot of sacrifice and struggling in order to succeed. I thought the perfect way to show achievement in education was through a race to the finish line. The next step after crossing the finish line is what come in next in your journey of life. You are creating three thumbnail drawings for the idea of "What do the themes of Diversity, Collaboration, and Achievement in an educational setting look like to you?"
Once you "sell" it to the teacher you can go out and shoot, using props etc of your choice. You will then write in 200 words or less describing how their submission responds to the theme. All information is here: www.f3law.com/page.php?id=85 TOPIC: Diversity, Collaboration, Achievement. What do the themes of Diversity, Collaboration, and Achievement in an educational setting look like to you? Find an image that illustrates these central themes and what they mean to today's students. The youtube video for getting a large file in Google is here Save your image as a jpg file on your desktop. Make sure the image you choose is of your dream profession (or dream place to live) in a setting such as in a doctor's office, i.e. not just a man with a white background wearing a tux. You will be creating a new Padlet named "Layer Mask" and have your two images- one with yourself in the career you want along and one of yourself as a celebrity or with a celebrity, along with three paragraphs explaining: 1. What your career is and your ideal day (underneath your image) 2. A reflection on why you chose this celebrity- why do they inspire you? What is it about them that you respect? (underneath your image of you and a celebrity) 3. steps you did in photoshop to create it- as a separate post within your padlet. The image exercise will be saved as lastname-firstname-layermask-exercise.
