Use complete sentences and paragraph form when answering the questions. Your answer must be at least two paragraphs long for each work (so four paragraphs total).
Work 1: Artist name and Title.
What's going on in this photograph? What makes you say that? What do you think the artist's intent was? Why did you choose this photograph- what did you like or not like about the picture?

Work 2: Artist name and Title.
What's going on in this photograph? What makes you say that? What do you think the artist's intent was? Why did you choose this photograph- what did you like or not like about the picture?

Color Grid

Using ONLY Your Own Photos create a creative color wheel.

Make sure you use all six colors and they are in the correct order of ROYGBV.  When taking your photographs, use the CROP technique so that the main element in the photograph is the color itself.
  • red
  • orange
  • yellow
  • green
  • blue
  • violet

Create a document in Photoshop that is 6" wide by 12" high, 300 resolution.
Create grids in Photoshop that are 2" square by going View> new guide > 2" vertical, 4" vertical then 2" horizontal, 4" horizontal, 6" horizontal, 8" horizontal and 10" horizontal.
Open up your photo of "red". Crop into a square, as much as you would like so that the red is the predominant piece in your photo. It can be abstract!
Use your move tool to get it into the top left square. Use edit- transform- scale to make sure it's in correctly. You will be creating new layers for each color. Make sure there's no white space between them and that it's perfectly in the grid!
Follow these directions- start two minutes in for the 6" x 12" template.

When you are DONE with the project, save as a Photoshop file on your desktop.
Once you save as a Photoshop file, merge the layers by going to layer- merge visible- save as JPEG.
Save as lastname-firstname-colors.jpg in the 12-12-2017 Colors folder in the common drive.

Light Painting

12/5/2017

You will put your top eight photos (cropped, lightened as needed etc) as lastname-firstname-lights1.jpg, lights2.jpg etc in the 12-5-2017 Lights folder in the common drive.

Create a padlet called "Light Painting" with your eight photos.
The title for each photograph should be unique= what would you title each photo? Bunny ears? Flashing tree?

The description should say that the camera was on Shutter Priority and have the Shutter speed, ISO, and Aperture information.

Include a sentence or two for each photo describing HOW you took the photograph and specifically WHY you like it.
