It's time for the fair!  All entries need to be in NOW to hit the deadline and so we have to choose what image you want displayed!

After you have decided which image to use for the Del Mar fair (and it is approved by me), do these things:
1. Fill out the following survey IMMEDIATELY so that we don't miss the deadline.
Period 1
Period 2
Period 4
Period 5
Period 6

2. Resize your image to 11" x 14", 300 resolution (can be vertical or horizontal).
https://youtu.be/mWinRNaBNto
Open your photo up in Photoshop.
Use the crop tool.
At the top left, it gives you the option of W x H x Resolution.
If your photograph is horizontal, type 14 in in the first box, 11 in in the second box and 300 px/in. It will show you where it will crop. Crop it and rename it.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD YOUR PHOTO FROM A PADLET. You need to find the ORIGINAL image from Google Drive or from the class folder. Your image on your website was compressed (made smaller) and if we try to print that it will look horrible.
I will not print poor quality images.

3. Save your work as lastname-firstname-delmarfair.jpg in the common drive 04-20-2018 Del Mar Fair.

4. Create a word document for the fair, explaining the following in paragraph form using academic language:
    a. title of the piece
    b. where the image was taken
    c. what the compositional rule is (rule of thirds, symmetry, leading line, framing, crop)
    d. what sort of camera and lens was used (Nikon D7200 with a 18- 140mm lens)
e.how you created the image- what hardware and software you used (Adobe Photoshop and/or iPhoto)
    f. explain why your image is in the specific division it's in and how it fits that category (color vs. portrait vs. landscape)- see details below
    g. that it was printed on Epson Glossy Photo Paper on the Epson P800 digital printer.
    h. save as lastname-firstname-delmarfair in the same 04-20-2018 Del Mar Fair folder as the image.
(your name, date, school name and teachers name should be on the top left of the document) Save as a word file.
