Using the photos you took in class, choose your top three photos and edit it to make it "surreal" looking (dreamlike). Do not just do straight editing, I want you to really push it and make something look supernatural.
You can use PixLR, Snapseed, Hipstamatic, Photoshop Mix or apps of your choice, as long as they're free. Be sure to crop out the watermark of the app if it's there. Put your three artworks in Google Drive for a grade. Examples here https://moncurephoto.weebly.com/2016--2017-assignments/category/surrealistic-self-portraits
Welcome! I am delighted to have you in class! This will be my seventh year here at Rancho, and I am absolutely thrilled to see what sort of art you and your classmates create! It is a rigorous class that is articulated with Palomar Community College's Digital Photo 120, which means that if you get an A or B both semesters, you are eligible to get three college credits for FREE!
What you can expect from this class- Being fluent with the camera and camera operations Being competent with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Learning other computer programs Knowing how to read a photograph Familiarity with various ways to photograph Learning about composition Working independently and as a group Becoming a better photographer! It is a fun and fast paced class. Know that you will learn a TON of new things, will be asked to get out of your comfort zone, and make some truly terrific friends. I am always happy to help students and available during lunch and after school by appointment. I absolutely LOVE photography and have been doing it as a profession for over twenty years. In addition, I am the Vice-Chair of the Vista Public Arts Commission and involved in an art non-profit in town, The Backfence Society, so I am a big supporter of the arts in the community. Please go to Google Classroom and add yourself to the class.
