In late October of 2016, a young girl around the age of 12 had a missing report submitted. This was heartbreaking to the family as well as her new dog she had gotten days before the tragedy. Something like this wasn't uncommon in fact multiple girls around the same age as Lia also went missing, but there were no leads. As the family went through many restless nights wondering if their little girl was still alive, her dog seemed to have been affected too. Around 9pm when Lia would head to bed her dog Milo would also and even after she strangely disappeared. Milo would lay down as if she was there and her parents were getting the feeling that not only were they upset, her dog was too.
A few hours after Lia’s parents shut off the lights and went to bed did unusual noises occur. As Lia had no siblings the house was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, the light thumping and doors creaking woke Milo and made him cautious. He lifted his head and opened his eyes to see Lia, his person, his girl standing next to the door. She was in a long white blouse, exactly what she was wearing on the last day she was seen. Although it was tattered and a bit dirtier than before, her shoulders barely passed the doorknob, and her hair knotted more than ever.
She called out Milo's name in a faint whisper, opening her hands to embrace him with affection but Milo was hesitant to go. After a few seconds he gave in and ran to her. This was the last time Milo was seen, as for Lia her case went cold. Her parents still wonder what happened on that night when she disappeared, and even stranger why her dog's collar was left to hang on the doorknob with him out of sight.
